Judith- Intervention (SLP)

Dr. Judith is a 70-year-old with Parkinson’s disease. You are assigned to complete Dr. Judith’s intervention session using the LSVT LOUD program. Today’s session is Day 2 of Week 2. This simulation is presented in partnership with LSVT Global.
Recommended time for completion is 90 minutes.
Rip- Intervention (PT)
Rip is an 80-year-old with a one-year diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. He has experienced multiple falls with injury, including pelvic fracture. He was referred to physical therapy by his primary care physician and has been receiving physical therapy at an outpatient clinic. Rip has recently been reevaluated and you are the physical therapy practitioner assigned to provide Rip's intervention.
Recommended time for completion is 60 minutes.
Alaina- Intervention (OT)
Alaina is a 4-year-old with autism spectrum disorder who was recently diagnosed with a seizure disorder. Alaina, her mom Patricia, and an occupational therapy practitioner are involved in this simulation. You are the occupational therapy practitioner assigned to provide Alaina's intervention session today in a specialized school setting.
Recommended time for completion is 60 minutes.
Don- Intervention (SLP)
Don is a 59-year-old with Broca's aphasia. Don attends therapy sessions regularly to help him communicate with people that are important to him as well as improve his naming and reading skills. Don's long-term goals are to hold a job and to increase awareness so others know more about aphasia. You are assigned to complete Don's intervention session today.
Recommended time for completion is 120 minutes.
Dan- Intervention (SLP)

Dan is a 79-year-old with severe Wernicke’s aphasia. Dan and his wife attend therapy sessions regularly. Their goals are for Dan to communicate his needs and participate more independently in daily activities. You are assigned to complete Dan’s intervention session today.
Recommended time for completion is 120 minutes.
Stress Management Group- Intervention (OT)
Sebastian and Mark are participants who attend a stress management group in the occupational therapy clinic within a homeless service agency. The group participants are currently homeless. You are the occupational therapy practitioner assigned to lead the group intervention session today.
Recommended time for completion is 40 minutes.
Hadley- Intervention (SLP)
Hadley is a 5-year-old with speech sound and expressive language disorders. You are assigned to work with Hadley, targeting both speech and language goals. Complete your intervention and then report your findings to your supervising SLP.
Recommended time for completion is 30 minutes.
Everett- Intervention (SLP)
Everett is a 6-year-old with Down syndrome and resulting communication and speech impairment. You are the speech-language pathologist assigned to provide his intervention session. This simulation is presented in partnership with Saltillo. The evaluation was completed independent of the Saltillo-Simucase partnership.
Recommended time for completion is 60 minutes.
Ed- Intervention Session 2 (OT)
Ed is a 78-year-old who experienced a stroke approximately six months ago and was recently discharged home from subacute rehabilitation. He was evaluated by occupational therapy two weeks ago in his home. Ed and his wife Yvonne are involved in this simulation. You are the occupational therapy practitioner assigned to provide Ed's home-based intervention today.
Recommended time for completion is 60 minutes.
