Clinical Experience syllabus for occupational therapy/assistant
OT/OTA lesson plans
Posted September 21, 2023
To help faculty map simulation and video content within occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant course curricula, Simucase created sample lesson plans for seven core topics.
The lesson plans include course title, learning objectives for each course, simulation and video content that align with learning objectives, and outcome measures to assess whether learning objectives have been met. The sequencing of the coursework may be altered at the discretion of the faculty. Students may also complete interactive supplemental activities after submitting each simulation to meet additional learning objectives.

Tips for a Successful Simucase Experience
Faculty are encouraged to follow best practices for supervising occupational therapy simulations, which are outlined in the Supervising OT simulations with Simucase article. Prior to assigning simulation content, students new to Simucase should participate in student training and complete the Simucase Practice Simulation.
